It's finally here! The new year! :D
2013 passed in a lightning speed in a way. As I stood out there, in my front yard, in my pyjamas, looking out at the crazy fireworks in the sky, while:
a.) trying to avoid the raining remnants like they were some kind of meteorites,
b.) standing mightily in the midst of everything (literally, the smoke gave no other option but to look UP),
I could barely believe that it has been a year since the last time I, well, stood out there, in my front yard, in my pyjamas, looking at the crazy fireworks in the sky. A YEAR. I mean, THREE HUNDRED AND SIXTY FIVE days, three hundred and sixty five DAYS. REALLY? Just making sure it wasn't a leap year. Hmh.
No, what I really mean is that it doesn't feel that long since then. It made me think (of course) of how the last year has been spent.
I find it quite interesting really, how some relatively universally imposed sense of time can get me thinking and got me that sense of urgency. Because to think about it in another way, well, 'Chill, Emm, it's just another day tomorrow.' Well, kudos for those of you who think so, because last night, I TOTALLY FREAKED OUT. Haha.
It got me thinking of we cannot travel back in time (duh!), and that the answer to 'What have I done in the last year?' is 'Not much, really,..'.
So well, to keep things in track, for this year, as I have never done before, EVER, I have determined that I will set some the-ever-so-cliché new year's resolutions. But, I'll save that for another post.
What have you done in the last year that you are proud of? :D HOW DID YOU SPEND YOUR NEW YEAR'S EVE?
I hope you had a great one anyhow!!
Lastly, here are some dodgy pictures from last night.
Cheers, to the new year, from my bubbly-celebratory-drink drinking glass! :D
May this new year fly high like it's filled with some kind of unicorn magic or something.
